HERO MAGAZINE PUBLISHER CELEBRATES HON ADE ADEOGJUN ON HIS BIRTHDAY TODAY.

The Hero Magazine Publisher, Dr Akinbiola Sunday Celebrates the birthday of one of the finest honourable in the National Assembly, Hon Ade Adeogjun. He describes Adeogjun as a rare politician whose interest is to see his people living in a good standard. He’s a grassroots politician and a Man of many parts who has invested greater parts of his resources in helping his people.

Hon. Ade Adeogun is one of Nigeria’s embodiments of hope, aspirations and promise. In his private life, he is a prolific writer, mentor of youths, advocate of good governance and community leader, while in public life; he is a philanthropist, a high performing technocrat with over thirty five years experience in Counter Intelligence, Security and Waste Management, Business and Policy formulation. Ade is a one-man riot squad in the audacious challenge of political usurpation and rascality. Popularly known as the ‘beautiful brand’, he parades heavy scholarly records that gleam unabated in the atmosphere of moral and academic excellence. Born to the noble family of Olumomi of Obaju Quarters, Oba-Akoko, Akoko SW Local Government Area of Ondo State, Ade attended Z. I primary school Oba-Akoko and Borgu primary school, New Bussa. He further attended Oludaye Grammar School for his secondary education after which he was employed into the Nigeria Security Organisation (NSO) in 1983.

Ade proceeded to the University of Ibadan in 1985 and graduated with a Second Class Upper Division in Archaeology in 1989. He was further educated at New York Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point, Long Island, New York City, United States where he got trained in Maritime Security Administration and thereafter obtained a Masters Degree from Manchester Business School, United Kingdom. Also in his academic credentials are various professional certificates with which he has capably fortified himself.

After graduating from the UI, Ade returned to the State Security Service where he had earlier served, but now as a Cadet Officer. And on account of his productivity, intellect and excellent service delivery, he rose quickly within the service and held various positions, amongst which are; Personal Assistant to the Rivers State Director of SSS, Chief Security Officer to Chief Peter Odili, the then Governor of Rivers State, Principal Staff Int’l, Ondo State and Training Manager, State Security Academy, Lagos, before he voluntarily resigned from the service in 2007 to go into private business.

In actual fact, Ade began private business in 1994 when he joined three other friends to start a security company named, Sekurity Project Limited and was its pioneer Managing Director. His stints afterwards as a consultant to some multinational blue chip companies which gave him opportunities to make pitches with CEOs of companies like Ciscon Oil Field Services, Arib Oil, Intels Service, Schlumberger, Geco Prakla, Rivers State Vegetable Oil Company and a host of others exposed him to the real world of business and glamorously fine-tuned his business skills and acumen. And it was the experience and exposure gained from running this business that emboldened him to disengage from a bright career in the security service at a time he was being projected as one of its future leaders.

Today, Hon. Ade Adeogun is proudly the MD/CEO of Magnum & Hunter Limited – a Lagos based corporate entity which began operations in 2003 as a Consulting Firm but has overtime diversified from Consulting to Waste Management and presently into the development of infrastructure, commercial real estate investment as well as management of tangible assets. He is also on the boards of three other viable companies where he is dutifully involved in Change Management, Business Planning and Leadership Development.

As a tested man of courage, sagacity, audacity, valour, gallantry, heroism, fortitude and unparalleled bravery, Ade was called into the service of Rivers State government between 2007 and 2015 where he served first as Honorary Special Adviser to His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi while he was governor of the State, and later as the Managing Director of Rivers State Waste Management Agency which employed over 2,000 workers. Like he exhibited in all his previous positions, genius Ade turned the company, then a moribund entity into the most efficient Government Parastatal in Rivers State.

While he served as Special Adviser on Special Duties, Ade Adeogun advised the governor on and subsequently supervised the formation of Command, Control, Computers, Communications and Intelligence Centre (C4i) to coordinate the activities of all the security agencies in the state. And through his efforts and management, the C4i which was the first of such centre in Nigeria, raised the efficiency of security formations by creating a unified command and control structure and eliminating inter-agencies rivalries.

In Rivers State, Ade became one of the leaders of Yoruba and non-indigene community and championed the inclusion of non indigenes in government. And through his efforts, several non indigenes including Yoruba and Hausa were appointed into different levels of government while the discriminatory tuition fees system in the State University was abolished. Despite his passive interest in partisan politics then, Ade played an active role in the formation of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the party appeared to him as the only avenue to resist oppression.

It is worthy of note that this charismatic security expert, business chief, political icon and human resource manager founded Brentonwoods & Trinity Leadership Foundation, serving as an avenue to pursue his mission for nurturing, empowering and developing young leaders, and the not-for-profit organisation has since inception been involved in enlightenment programs, youth empowerment and rights advocacy.

However, on the 27th of June, 2017, he launched Ade Adeogun Foundation in his darling hometown of Oba-Akoko, particularly to cater for the interests of the people of Akoko kingdom with whom he shares the same existential traits, and instigate the psychic drive and the instinctual urge of other eminent sons and daughters of Akoko land towards giving our society a better facelift and creating a more enabling environment for Akoko people at all levels of originality, dynamism and diversity.

Through this Foundation, Hon. Ade Adeogun has been able to renovate dilapidated blocks of classrooms, organize Summer Coaching for students of secondary schools, sponsor JAMB Tutorials for admission seekers, engage youths in agriculture, finance infrastructural projects, repair damaged boreholes, fix electricity challenges in some communities, rescue private individuals in distress and finance numerous social and welfare programmes among other laudably kind gestures.

It is therefore our honour and privilege to present to you on this Democracy Day, this exceptional Nigerian who has decided to stand out from the crowd through his principled, ambitious and uncompromising nature, with untiring, unwavering and unrelenting struggle for excellence. A man with unusually firm posture, uncommon bravery and creative impulse. A handsome and energetic man with enviable dexterity, administrative wizardry and unfailing acumen. A very forthright and fearless individual, divinely garnished with pleasing aura and radiating ambience, honest love and splendour, candour, grandeur, risk management exploits and commitment to the development of human capital. A man whose awards and encomiums grow by the day. Fellow, Institute of Public Administration Nigeria and 2017 Ondo State Man of the Year, is a Member of the National Assembly, representing the good people of Akoko South East/South West Federal Constituency.
