As Special Interest Committee to Garner 700,000 Votes was Inaugurated
Ahead of the November 16 governorship election in Ondo State, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, represented by his Deputy, Dr. Olayide Adelami, on Monday unveiled campaign materials and inaugurated a special interest committee tasked with securing 700,000 votes. The event, held in Akure, is part of a strategic effort by the All Progressives Congress (APC) to ensure a landslide victory for Governor Aiyedatiwa.
Speaking at the inauguration, Governor Aiyedatiwa congratulated the newly inaugurated committee members and urged them to focus on innovative strategies that will mobilize strong grassroots support across the 18 council areas of the state. He emphasized the need for party members to intensify efforts at the local level to meet the 700,000-vote target.
The Director General of the Aiyedatiwa/Adelami Campaign Organization, Dr. Abiola Makinde, encouraged party members to remain united and focused on delivering their polling units for the APC. Similarly, the Ondo State APC Chairman, Ade Adetimehin, urged members to redouble their efforts through aggressive grassroots mobilization.
Prince Biyi Poroye, Director General of the APC Special Interest Committee, highlighted the importance of engaging with local landlord associations, stating, “If we reach out to them and preach the good works of Governor Aiyedatiwa, we will win more support and achieve our goal of 700,000 votes.”
The event also featured the unveiling of campaign materials, with members of the Special Interest Committee urged to intensify their outreach and campaign efforts at the grassroots level.
