The Chief Executive Officer of Gallery Security Services, High Chief Bibopere Ajube has commended President Mohammadu Buhari on the appointment of new service chiefs as a way of injecting fresh ideology and strategy into the nation’s security apparatus.

The Arogbo-Ibe High Chief however, urged President Buhari not to relent on efforts to improve on safety of life of Nigerians and their property anywhere they live, nationwide.

The new Service Chiefs are: Major-General Leo Irabor, Chief of Defence Staff; Major-General I. Attahiru, Chief of Army Staff; Rear Admiral A.Z Gambo, Chief of Naval Staff; and Air-Vice Marshal I.O Amao, Chief of Air Staff.

His words: “Nigerians are happy with the new move by Mr. President to solve the spate of insecurity in many parts of the country; this action alone has rebuilt and reinforced the confidence of Nigeria people on the Buhari led Federal Government.

“The newly appointed service chiefs must hit the ground running by effectively halt the current emergency situation and total collapsed of our security, especially in the Northeast where insurgency by the Boko- haram terrorists is reigning supreme.

“Our leaders from the Northern parts of the country must work with the new service chiefs patriotically, wholeheartedly and with genuine love of the people to put a total stop to insurgency, kidnapping, banditry, cattle rustling, farmers/herders clashes and other criminality that had bedeviled our country for many years.”

Ajube noted that the Niger-Delta region is now the most peaceful part of Nigeria since 2009 after the late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua gave the freedom agitators and restive youths amnesty, with the cooperation and strong commitment of elders and leaders in the region to the programme, stressing that the Northern youths and leaders must toll this peaceful path too.

In a related development, Ajube said he has approved the appointment of ace reporter and media guru, Yemi Akintomide as his Special Assistant on Media and Public Communication.

With the new appointment, the former Ondo State Correspondent for Independent Newspaper Nig.Ltd, Publisher of Independent titles is also to function as Media/Corporate Affairs Manager for both Gallery Security Services and Bradama International Skill Works Ltd., with corporate head office at Agadagba-Obon in Ese-Odo local government area of Ondo State.

Akintomide is expected to bring to bear on the new job, his over two decades of experience as practising journalist in crime reporting, media management and public communication.

The foremost leader of Niger-Delta agitators urged his new aide to use his wealth of experience in the media profession to further enhance and brighten the companies’ image and public relations.

Ajube noted that top on the agenda of Gallery Security Services in the Year 2021 is to project the company more boldly and friendly to it operating areas of riverine communities in the Niger-Delta region and beyond.

“One of our key points in achieving the current high level of success and total clamminess within our mandate areas is the warmness and close relationship we have maintained over the years with the people. This singular act is working for us, and we are not going to relent on all efforts gear towards improving on the cordial relationship.

“Our waterways and creeks are now secure, safer and peaceful far more than the hinterlands where the herdsmen and farmers clash, kidnapping and abduction are the order of the day. The success recorded so far must be credited to the proactiveness and commitment of Gallery Security personnel towards making our waterways, creeks and riverine communities peaceful, safer and crime free,” Ajube stated.
