From his early education through to his tertiary studies at Akwa Ibom Polytechnic and Adekunle Ajasin University, Hon. Akingbaso has consistently demonstrated a commitment to excellence and personal growth. His pursuit of knowledge culminated in a Master’s degree in Public Administration, underscoring his belief in the transformative power of education.
Over three decades ago, Hon. Akingbaso embarked on his entrepreneurial journey in the auto business, importing exotic cars from around the world. His vision and determination led him to diversify into various industries, including oil and gas, quarry mining, liquor, timber, and agro-businesses. As the Chairman of multiple conglomerate companies, he has seamlessly integrated business acumen with political stewardship.
In the political arena, Hon. Akingbaso has been a formidable force and a grassroots mobiliser. Starting as a significant financier of the Labour Party and transitioning seamlessly into the PDP, he has held esteemed positions such as a board member of the Ondo State Oil Producing Area Development Commission (OSOPADEC) and Executive Chairman of Idanre Local Government Council. His tenure in the Ondo State House of Assembly (ODHA) from 2019 to 2023 was marked by his unwavering dedication to his constituents.
Currently, as the serving House of Representatives member for the Idanre/Ifedore federal constituency, Hon. Akingbaso continues to champion the interests of his community with integrity and resolve. His commitment to service, community development, and progress is a beacon of hope for all.
