PRESS STATEMENT

4th of June, 2020

WE CELEBRATE YOUR LIFE AND TIME, AS HEAVEN GAINS -EVANG. BAMIDELE OLUMILUA, former civilian Governor of old Ondo State

I, Omo’ba Jimi Odimayo, my royal family from Ode-Irele and my political family from all the eighteen council areas of Ondo State, received the demise of the elder statesman and former Governor of old Ondo State, Evangelist Bamidele Isola Olumilua with deepest heart of condolence at a reap age of 80 years.

However, we find solace in our Lord Jesus Christ for a life well spent in service to God and humanity, which made us believe that heaven has gained a saint, today.

Late Pa.Olumilua, who was democratically elected Executive Governor of old Ondo State (Both Ondo and Ekiti states) from January 1992 to November 1993, hailed from Ikere-Ekiti, in the now Ekiti State.

It was positively recorded against his name and administration that remarkable and indelible people oriented projects and programmes were carried out by the focus and progressive government within the short period before the late General Sani Abacha staged a military coup that terminated the civilian administration.

Since that unfortunate rape on the nation’s democracy and the returned of another Democratic rule in 1999, Pa. Olumilua has continued to engage in politics of better life for his community, his state, the South-West region and Nigeria.

We are using this medium to send our heartfelt condolences to the immediate and extended families of the Olumilua of Ikere-Ekiti, the traditional rulers and entire community of Ikere-Ekiti, the governments and people of both Ondo and Ekiti States, as well as elders and leaders of Yoruba race, worldwide.

May the soul of our departed elder and political leader rest in perfect peace.

Goodnight, Pa. Evangelist Bamidele Ishola Olumilua, as you join the Heavenly Saints. ADIEU
