He recounted how Akeredolu, upon his return from Germany, summoned him to his office and expressed his desire for Akinterinwa to take the reins of leadership in the state.
“I vividly remember the moment when Governor Akeredolu shared his vision with me. It was right after his return from Germany, although I cannot recall the exact date. He confided in me and prayed for my success, even disclosing his aspirations to certain individuals,” Akinterinwa revealed.
As he prepares to vie for the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket in the forthcoming April primary, the accomplished financial expert confirmed that he will imminently make a formal declaration of his gubernatorial ambition.
Akinterinwa exuded confidence in his prospects, emphasizing the unwavering trust bestowed upon him by the people of Ondo State. He expressed optimism in carrying the APC’s banner during the pivotal November 16, 2024 Governorship election, despite the formidable competition, including the incumbent governor.
“While I am currently engaged in extensive consultations, I assure you that I will secure the party’s ticket. The overwhelming support from the people of Ondo State is remarkable, and I am resolutely confident in my ability to emerge victorious in the APC primary,” Akinterinwa affirmed.
