Hero Publisher Mocks PDP’s Internal Crisis
“APC should not relent; the race isn’t over yet!”
With the 2024 gubernatorial election approaching, Dr. Akinbiola Sunday has forecasted a sweeping victory for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), attributing the party’s advantage to the internal crises plaguing the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP). In a recent statement, Dr. Sunday noted that the PDP’s disunity at both the state and national levels has significantly weakened its chances of mounting a serious challenge in the upcoming elections.
“The PDP’s house is divided, both at the state and national levels. Winning the election for them is a dream that cannot come true,” Dr. Akinbiola Sunday remarked with a chuckle. He emphasized that, with the PDP’s current state of disarray, the APC has a clear path to victory, making the election “a walkover” for the ruling party.
In a light-hearted jab, Dr. Sunday suggested that the PDP might as well take a vacation instead of gearing up for a campaign. After all, why work hard when you can just sit back and watch the APC stroll to victory?
Dr. Sunday’s comments reflect growing confidence within the APC, which has maintained a stronghold in recent elections. With the PDP struggling to present a unified front, many political observers share the view that the APC is in a favorable position to secure another term in office.
However, he reminded the APC not to relent in their efforts, quoting the biblical verse from Isaiah 40:31: “But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength.” He humorously added, “Israel, seek not rest yet; the race isn’t over until the last vote is counted!” As the election draws nearer, the APC must remain vigilant and committed to their campaign to ensure a successful outcome.
