The former Global President of the National Association of Irele Local Government Students (NAILGOS), Sen. Oke Solomon (GCAF), has called on students from Irele Local Government to unite in support of Hon. Jide Akinfe as the next Chairman of the local government.
In his appeal, Sen. Solomon described Hon. Akinfe as a comrade deeply committed to the development of the grassroots. “Hon. Akinfe isn’t just a comrade; he’s one of us—someone who understands the pulse of the students and the community at large,” Sen. Solomon said.
Reflecting on Akinfe’s track record as the first Vice President of NAILGOS, Sen. Solomon emphasized that this is an opportunity for students to support a leader who genuinely values their contributions. “We need a leader who will make grassroots development a reality, and Hon. Jide is that leader,” he added.
He urged all students to see this as a collective responsibility, emphasizing that the strength of the student body lies in supporting capable leaders. “Let us come together to make history by ensuring that a comrade who understands our needs takes the helm of leadership,” he concluded.
