…Donates Solar Energy Units to Palaces, Seeks Continued Support for Governor Aiyedatiwa

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, Hon. Matthew Oye Oyerinmade, popularly known as MATO, has paid a courtesy visit to traditional rulers in Ondo South Senatorial District under the platform of the Traditional Heritage Group.

During the visit, Hon. Oyerinmade officially declared his ambition to contest for the Ondo South Senatorial seat in the 2027 general election. As part of his outreach, he distributed solar energy units to each palace in the senatorial district, emphasizing his commitment to supporting traditional institutions and enhancing grassroots development.

In his remarks, MATO appealed to the monarchs to continue supporting Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, noting that their cooperation would ensure that the people fully benefit from the developmental strides the governor has initiated across the state.

Responding on behalf of the monarchs, the General Coordinator (Chairman) of the Traditional Heritage Group, His Royal Majesty, Oba Dr. Obafemi Ogbaro, JP, commended MATO for his consistent respect for traditional institutions. He described him as a rare politician distinguished by his sincerity and sense of value for the traditional system, unlike many others who make empty promises with impunity.

Oba Ogbaro further expressed the group’s readiness to support MATO’s senatorial ambition, acknowledging his past contributions to the success of Governor Aiyedatiwa during the last gubernatorial election. He also appreciated the governor for maintaining a peaceful atmosphere that has fostered visible development across the state.

In his words, “One good turn deserves another,” the royal father remarked, expressing confidence that MATO’s vision for 2027 will strengthen the bond between government and traditional institutions in Ondo State.
