OMO’BA OKUNJIMI ODIMAYO: THE UNRIVALLED CAPTAIN STEERING OKITIPUPA/IRELE FEDERAL CONSTITUENCY TO GREATER HEIGHTS

In a political landscape where promises often outweigh delivery, Hon. (Omo’ba) Okunjimi Odimayo has emerged as a beacon of transformative leadership.

As the Member of the House of Representatives for Okitipupa/Irele Federal Constituency and Chairman of the House Committee on Population, his dedication to his constituents is evident through a series of impactful initiatives and projects that address immediate needs while fostering long-term development.

Odimayo’s commitment was exemplified by his swift response to the challenges posed by the subsidy removal in 2023. By empowering 250 constituents with ₦50,000 each, he provided essential support to cushion the financial burden, reflecting his deep understanding of, and empathy for, the struggles faced by his people.

The water crisis, a significant concern for many, has been addressed through the drilling of a borehole in Iju Oke Oja, Liseri Camp in Ode Irele, with plans underway to extend access to over other villages.

This project, alongside the installation of over 1,000 solar streetlights, demonstrates Odimayo’s unwavering commitment to improving living conditions and safeguarding the wellbeing of his constituents.

The distribution of food and relief materials on two separate occasions further emphasised his proactive approach to addressing immediate needs. Additionally, the empowerment of widows across various wards highlights his focus on vulnerable populations, ensuring they receive the support necessary to thrive.

In Ilutitun, Odimayo facilitated the purchase of a chainsaw machine for Mr Akin Bello (Akokoluko), worth ₦470,000, to support his entrepreneurial endeavours. The construction of 2km of roads in Ode Irele and Igbinsin/Oloto is another milestone that has enhanced transportation and accessibility within the constituency.

Education and healthcare remain top priorities for Odimayo. The construction of a solar-powered modern medical laboratory centre in Ode Irele promises to elevate healthcare services, while the construction of modern classrooms in Arerin Grammar School is providing a conducive learning environment for students.

As part of his support for farmers, he has distributed fertilisers across all 23 wards of the constituency. Relief materials have also been provided to schools, churches, and other community groups.

Furthermore, Odimayo has facilitated the employment of forty-two (42) graduates into the Federal Civil Service, opening new career opportunities for the youth in his constituency.

Now seeking a second term, Omo’ba Okunjimi Odimayo is determined to build on these achievements. His vision for the future includes expanded healthcare and educational facilities, broader rural electrification, improved water supply, and greater youth empowerment initiatives.

By returning him to the House of Representatives, constituents can enjoy continued development, stability, and progress in Okitipupa/Irele Federal Constituency.

Through these remarkable efforts, Omo’ba Okunjimi Odimayo is not only fulfilling his mandate as a representative but also setting new standards of excellence and commitment to his people. His leadership exemplifies what is possible when dedication and action converge for the betterment of the constituency.
