Ajimotokin Approves Bursary Award for Irele Local Government Students.
The Executive Chairman, Irele Local Government, Hon. (Barr.) Olusegun Ajimotokin has approved Bursary award for indigenes of Irele Local Government in tertiary institutions across Nigeria.
Hon. Ajimotokin issued a statement announcing the approval after the March edition of the Finance and General Purpose Committee (F&GPC) meeting yesterday.
He said the payment of the bursary to Irele Local Government students despite the economic hardship in the State and the country as a whole was a further demonstration of his commitment to the human capital development of the Local Government as well encouraging the students for optimal academic excellence in their respective institutions. Irele Local Government students must enjoy a sense of belonging from the Local Government, he stated.
He noted that his administration recognizes the pivotal role education plays in defining the growth and advancement of the Local Government hence the need for the payment of the bursary award.
Hon. Ajimotokin added that his government is committed to ensuring that Irele Local Government indigenes are empowered, through education, to contribute productively to the local and global economies.
The Bursary Payment according to the honourable Chairman would commence next month.
Details regarding the collection of the Bursary forms would be made known tomorrow which would be released free from the Local Government.
