Nigeria is set to honour eminent personalities and organisations as the 2025 Nigerian Outstanding Leadership Awards draws near. The prestigious event, organised by Hero Magazine International in collaboration with the Nigeria Outstanding Leadership Award Platform, is dedicated to recognising individuals whose exemplary leadership, cultural influence, and humanitarian service have made remarkable impact across the nation.
Among the distinguished honourees are Dr. Aduro Anthony, recognised for his outstanding contributions to human and community development; Rev. Mother Esther Ajayi, honoured as Woman of the Year; and Olori Temitope Ogunwusi, celebrated as Yoruba Female Role Model in Human Capacity and Community Development. Others include Hon. Kemisola Obamoyegun, Female Role Model of the Year; Akinduro Yemisi Bose, Ondo State Female Role Model of the Year; Mrs. Tomisin Falade, Ondo State Female Role Model of the Year; Oluwanike Victoria Omotayo Esq., Female Role Model of the Year; Akingbemila Abimbola, Ondo State Female Role Model of the Year; Dr. Adeniran Oyebade, Ondo State Young Political Icon of the Year; and Erelu Abimbola Oshifeso, Yoruba Female Role Model of the Year.
According to the organisers, “The Nigerian Outstanding Leadership Awards is about recognising trailblazers who inspire, lead, and transform communities. These honourees exemplify the power of visionary leadership and dedicated service to humanity.”
The award presentation will take place on Sunday, 26 October 2025, at De Dome Cultural Event Center, Alagbaka, Akure. Themed “The Role of Men and Women in the Regeneration and Promotion of Our Eroded Culture: A Yoruba Perspective,” the event promises to be a grand celebration of excellence, leadership, and cultural renaissance.
The Governor of Ondo State will grace the occasion as the Special Guest of Honour and Chief Host, while the Ooni of Ife, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II, will be present as the Royal Father of the Day. The Deji of Akure Kingdom, Oba Aladetoyinbo Aladelusi Odundun II, will add royal elegance to the occasion as the Royal Host, reflecting the deep cultural essence and significance of the event.
The keynote lecture will be delivered by Prof. Dayo Faduyile, Chairman, Governing Council, Federal College of Education, Kotangora.
With dignitaries, traditional rulers, and leaders from various sectors expected in attendance, the ceremony is anticipated to be a landmark event that honours those whose influence continues to drive growth, inspire hope, and uplift communities across Nigeria.
