In a remarkable display of momentum, Senator Jimoh Ibrahim, CFR, surges ahead of other aspirants in the All Progressive Congress (APC) primary election race in Ondo State. On February 20, 2024, Senator Ibrahim embarked on an extensive tour of Ijare ward 1 & 2, Igbaroke ward 1 & 2, Ekemefa ward, Ero/Ebuji/Mariwo ward, Isharun/Erigi ward, Ipokun/Ibule ward, and Ilaromokin ward 1 & 2, solidifying his presence at the grassroots level.
Accompanied by his wife, Mrs. Modupe Jimoh, a native of Ondo State, Senator Ibrahim addressed grassroots politicians in the local government, reiterating his commitment to utilize his personal resources for the welfare of 600,000 party leaders and members in the state. He emphasized the significance of empowering APC leaders who have dedicated years of meritorious service to the party, with a focus on strengthening them for future elections in Ondo State.
Senator Ibrahim expressed confidence in securing the party ticket by April, with the grace of God, while outlining his vision to transform the state based on empirical approaches grounded in real-world data, metrics, and tangible results from each community. The Chairman of Aseyori in Ondo State, Senator Tayo Alasoadura, warmly welcomed 370 grassroots politicians who received substantial empowerment during the event. Alasoadura regarded Senator Jimoh Ibrahim as the aspirant to beat in the forthcoming primary election, drawing from his experience as the campaign Director-General for previous successful candidates such as Agagu and Aketti. Senator Ibrahim’s 203-ward consultation tour garnered the participation of notable political figures, including a former Member of the House of Representatives, 17 former local government chairmen, five former Members of the House of Assembly, and the former Speaker of the House of Assembly during Aketti’s tenure, Rt. Hon. Oleyelogun.
