OBAJULAYE OLANREWAJU BOWS TO PARTY SUPREMACY
ONDO ASSEMBLY ELECTION: PUTTING THE PARTY’S INTEREST FIRST
Fellow Constituents,
It has become pertinent that I formally address all issues surrounding my ambition as an intending member of the Ondo State House of Assembly in 2023, in order to put rumours and naysayings to bed, for good.
First, I would like to appreciate everyone who has ensured that the name, Obajulaye Olanrewaju (OBA) is now a household name in Irele Local Government and its environs. The political sojourn hasn’t been any rosy but your high morale, motivation, positive energy, and progressive contribution have kept us going. With you by side, I have earned a place at the echelon of our party, the All Progressives Congress. For these, I thank you graciously.
My ambition is not an aim to shoot astray; it is an aim to shoot and hunt. To this end, I have worked assiduously, committed all resources to lending help at every stopgaps, and ensuring that the party’s interest always comes first. However, recent developments have resulted to our holding numerous meetings to ensure the progress of the party.
Consequently, I have hereby bowed to the resolution of our party’s leadership at the local and state levels. I have decided to accede to their yearnings and bow out of the race for Ondo State House of Assembly seat. Henceforth, I will throw my weight behind the candidate of the party: Dr Christopher Ogunlana.
On this note, I would urge my friends, brothers, sisters, loyalists and supporters to support him. This, therefore, becomes appropriate in order to move the party forward and to ensure victory for our party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the polls in the general elections.
To reiterate, my support for the APC led government under the leadership of Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu, SAN, and Engr. Ade Adetimehin remains unwavering. My decision was totally carefully thought and uninfluenced.
Once again, I’d love to thank everyone who has supported the OBA movement thus far. I would never trade your efforts for anything.
