*BTO; One Year Of Purposeful Leadership* By Osamaye Oluwaseun.
One of the Hallmark of leadership is grooming others to become true leaders. Hon Olubunmi Tunji-ojo in the last one year of being in the house of Representatives has distinguished himself among his colleagues such that he’s not only respected, he’s also admired for his diligence, eloquence, team-spirit, selflessness , generosity and courage. The man popularly called BTO is the member representing Akoko North East / North West in House Of Representatives and he’s the Chairman House Committee on NDDC. He is also known for his generosity and kindness. This is a man who helps everyone who comes across him regardless of where they are from. No wonder, he’s refered to as Amuyangan of Ondo State which can be translated to mean a pride of Ondo State. In the last one year, Hon Tunji-Ojo has touched lives. He has impacted positively on the people’s lives. Beside several infrastructural facilities he has facilitated to his communities, he has provided succour to many through gifts of cash and materials including cars, motorcycles , empowerment materials and so on. Also, many of his followers can now boast of visiting the national assembly courtesy of this great man who has made representation a complete departure from the past where “Abuja” is like London that can not be visited without a visa. He changed the narratives by providing leadership through his humanitarian gestures, humility, accessibility, generosity and kindness. His office was a Mecca of sorts in the National Assembly for both his colleagues and Subordinates. Hon Tunji-Ojo used his office to make indelible marks in people’s lives within this short period. I’m a living testimony of this benevolence. As he continues to journey on in his quest for a better Akoko, Ondo State and Nigeria as a whole, we can only committ him into God’s hands to guide him, protect him, bless him and Grant him wisdom , knowledge and understanding to do more ….. The foundation of greatness has been laid in this first year, may you continue to enjoy God’s grace to continue to impact lives and contribute immesurably to the development of mankind.
