Reps’ Primary Poll: My Gratitude -Jimi Odimayo
I, Prince Okunjimi Odimayo, winner of the May 28, 2022, All Progressives Congress, House of Representatives primary election for Irele/Okitipupa Federal Constituency, wish to express my profound gratitude to all our esteemed party delegates that voted for me as the candidate and flag bearer of our dear party, APC in the 2023 National Assembly Election.
I promise not to take the trust you have in me for granted as I will serve you and the good people of Irele and Okitipupa local government areas, diligently with purposeful and quantitative representation.
My deepest gratitude goes to our amiable leader and ‘Mr. Talk and Do’ Governor of our Sunshine State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu, SAN for his fatherly roles, support and love to all aspirants at all levels of contest, providing level playing ground for free, fair and credible primaries of APC across the State.
The first lady and Ada Owere 1, Mrs. Betty Anyawu-Akeredolu was superbly wonderful throughout the campaign period, as she always ensure that every aspirants get fair share of patronages, either from the party or Government circle. Thank you very much, Mummy Bemore. God shall perfect and strengthen your family and political aspiration too. Amen.
To the chairman of our party, the Jagaban of Ondo State politics, Engr. Ade Adetimehin, words are not enough to describe your love kindness, agility, ability and bold steps, making this primaries a huge success. Baba, wa daugbo o.
My political leaders and elders of our party in both Irele and Okitipupa council areas, I owe all of you a big gratitude for the show of love and total commitment towards my success at the shadow election.
The list is inexhaustible; my big sister mentor, the Secretary of the State Government, Princess (Barrister ) Catherine Oladunni Odu, Commissioner for Education, Mr. Femi Agagu, Mr. Diran Iyantan, the Director-General of my campaign committee, Barrister Femi Okunjemiruwa and members of my team.
And final to the big masquerade, my fellow contestants and aspirants, you’re all part of this success story. Your participation in the activities leading to the primary can not be overemphasised. We’re all winners because we’re all kinsmen of Ikale extraction and brotherhood.
The primary poll where I was declared the winner should be seen as a victory for the APC as a political party with internal democracy, and not personal.
“I thank my fellow contestants for their sportsmanship and acceptance of the outcome of the primary election on good faith which further give me further assurance that the general elections will be favourable; and we shall record a resounding victory for our party, APC
as we retrieve the Federal Constituency seat from the opposition People’s Democratic Party, PDP.
Let me use this medium to appeal to the electorate from our Federal Constituency to give me the maximum support by voting for APC at the General Elections coming in February 2023.
I pledge not to betray the trust, confidence and responsibility put upon my shoulders by our distinct delegates, leaders and elders of great party, as I promise to give good, equitable and world-class representation for the overall growth and development of Irele/Okitipupa Federal Constituency and Ondo State in general.
By the Grace of God, we shall win the final political battle together.
