The Publisher of Hero Magazine International, Dr Akinbiola Sunday has congratulated the uncommon youth developer, Hon Bunmi Tunji-Ojo on his appointment by the president as the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy.
Congratulations on your appointment as Minister of Marine and Blue Economy in the new Government of President Tinubu .
First, Your appointment takes precedence being one of the first Ministerial positions to be announced.
Second, Your appointment is a reflection of the widely held view of your competent and efficacious delivery in your capacity as Chairman, House Committee on NDDC in the 9th Assembly.
The blue economy concept always emphasises “sustainability” of the oceans, even as we exploit it for economic benefits. The economic activities in the traditional sector include fisheries, coastal leisure and tourism, ship and boat building, sea water desalination, offshore oil and gas, and shipping (marine transportation).
Also, More recently, emerging sectors include blue carbon sequestration, aquaculture, seabed extractive activities, offshore renewable energy, deep sea mining, and biotechnology with opportunities for training and employment.
I am extremely delighted and elated to hear this good news about you today again as the Minister with this wonderful portfolio.
