Regent of Ayeka hails BTO ’s nomination as minister of Marine and Blue Economy.
The Regent of Ayeka in Okitipupa Local Government Area of Ondo State ,Her Royal Highness, Princess Yemi Bajowa has congratulated the former lawmaker, Hon Bunmi Tunji-Ojo over his nomination as Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
This is just as this brilliant lawyer, a reverred community leader, Her Royal Highness also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for nominating the astute politician.
The Regent , in a statement on Thursday, in her Palace, said that BTO’s nomination is a step in the right direction and a square peg in a square hole as well as a proof of President Tinubu’s commitment to inclusive governance.
“We cannot easily forget the immense support and encouragement extended to us throughout the electoral campaign for the Asiwaju presidency.
“BTO was so supportive to us even though he was not from the South Senatorial District, and his assignment was only limited to the Akoko people, ” she said
and pointed out that as minister of the Federal Republic, Bunmi is capable and amply equipped to make a great difference.
The blue economy concept always emphasises “sustainability” of the oceans, even as we exploit it for economic benefits. The economic activities in the traditional sector include fisheries, coastal leisure and tourism, ship and boat building, sea water desalination, offshore oil and gas, and shipping (marine transportation).
“In the choice of BTO, the President has displayed great wisdom and foresight, and without any doubt, we can boldly say that he will be happy he did, ” She added.
She also seized the opportunity to congratulate all the lawmakers that have just be sworn in recently and thank President Tinubu for making it possible.
This is proof that President Tinubu is a reliable great statesman who stands by his words in spite of all odds.
