2. In your view Sir, what do you think are the causes of the act in our nation, Nigeria?
The only reason why Internet fraud has eaten deep into the fabric of the nations youth is simply because of the high level of unemployment across the nation and this has really pose Nigeria as a nation in a negative light to the international communities.
3. What has been your submission as the side effects of internet fraud to our society in the past, present and the future?
I’m just going to talk briefly on how This Affects Us.
The world is going digital. This means that most of the things we will be doing would be done mostly online. That being said, trust will play and plays a very key point in conducting business or building valuable relationships on and outside of the internet.
With our reputation as being “internet fraudsters” can you see how this will affect real and serious business individuals who are trying to leverage the internet to build meaningful relationships and/or businesses? Because of the nature of my profession, I have experienced all these things first end and so many of our clients.. On a lighter note, If you even see a foreign persons friend request on your social media, you will have to think twice before accepting because of how the boys run this their business.. our image has been affected by the rising of this internet fraud.
4. Many people, especially the youth have taken unemployment and scarcity of white collar job as excuses and prerequisites for internet fraud without considering its side effects to themselves and the nation building, how do you think the youth can be engaged in legit self-employed than this harmful act?
Well, while growing up I personally had passion for owning my own businesses and then be an employer of labour. What I am trying to say is if this current system isn’t working for their favour, young people should try to develop soft skills that can help them grow their personal brands… Going by how things are rising everyday in the market, your job will only do a little for you. So they should be creative, smart and innovative if they wan the change they desire…
(Use personal experience to crown this point up)
5. Sir, I’m sure one way or the other you have once found yourself in the state of unemployment, while don’t you involve in internet fraud by taken unemployment and scarcity of white collar job as excuse?
Vision, I already knew where I was going. Before you go to the market, you already knew what you want to buy right? So what do you do to get what you want in the market? The answer is simply pay the price that you are told and you will get what you want.
Self discovering also helped me all along to be focused. So I was not in anyway distracted.
I’m the publisher of hero magazine International today but it didn’t just happened over night. I took time to build a team that can drive the vision. Nothing just happened overnight
6. Being a medical practitioner cum journalist, how do you cope without lapses? Is there any relationship in the professions?
There’s no relationship between medical and media… The secret to what I’m doing today in the media industry is “passion” it didn’t just end in passion. I engaged in personal and capacity development in this field.. I’m an associate member of the Nigeria institute of public relations, I have a degree in Journalism from the Nigerian institute of Journalism and others.. When the passion came, I took steps to gain more knowledge that will enable me succeed and the knowledge I have has really helped me to navigate through all the challenges I encountered in pursuing this career.. one thing is to have passion, another thing is to equip yourself to succeed in that passion n that’s what I have done and it paying of today.
7. What are the technics you think the government and the citizens can applied to conquer internet fraud and it’s side effects in this nation, especially as we are expecting new dispensation in few months to come?
Youth Unemployment Rate in Nigeria increased to 53.40 percent in the fourth quarter of 2020 from 40.80 percent in the second quarter of 2020 according to Nigeria Bureau of statistics. The current percentage I don’t really have access to it but what I am trying to say here is if this problem of youths unemployment can be solved, then this internet fraud will reduce drastically. And also, it will help solve the problem of insecurity we are experiencing as a nation. Employ the youth and you will be amazed at what Nigeria will become.
8. Finally, what is your advice to the government, unemployment youth and their parents listening to us outside there over this issue?
My advice first to the incoming administration is that they should know that to the international community today, Nigerian youths are known for this but the new government coming into power from May 29th later this year, should make it a priority to redeem the image of our country by tackling unemployment Headon.
For the youth, engage in personal development. Opportunity only favours the prepared mind. It’s a known fact that whenever we see the notification that a company wants to fill in the open space in their organization, they want people with professional certification. And it’s only person with that qualification that will be considered for that job. So please parents help your children to be well prepared to grab opportunities. An new Nigeria will emerge if we all are Intentional about solving our problems in a positive way..
