Commends Governor Aiyedatiwa’s Emphasis on Merit and Competence
Renowned media entrepreneur and public affairs analyst, Dr. Akinbiola Sunday, widely known as Hero Publisher, has extended his warm congratulations to Prince Biyi Poroye following his appointment as Chairman of the Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (OSOPADEC).
In a statement made available to the press on Friday, Dr. Akinbiola lauded Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for what he described as “a merit-driven and visionary decision,” highlighting the governor’s consistent track record of prioritising competence and loyalty in political appointments.
“Governor Aiyedatiwa has once again demonstrated leadership anchored on capacity, credibility, and strategic foresight. Prince Poroye’s appointment is not only well-deserved but timely, especially at a period when OSOPADEC’s mandate must be pursued with renewed vigour,” Akinbiola stated.
He described Prince Poroye as a grassroots leader with a proven history of dedication to the development of the Niger Delta region, expressing confidence that the new chairman would bring purpose and innovation to the commission.
Dr. Akinbiola also called on stakeholders across the oil-producing areas to unite behind Poroye’s leadership and work collectively to ensure the success of ongoing and future developmental projects under OSOPADEC.
