IRELE AND OKITIPUPA AGOG AS THE PUBLISHER OF HERO MAGAZINE INTERNATIONAL DOZE OUT CASH GIFT AND RICE TO OVER 300 WIDOWS AND YOUTHS IN HIS LGA


As part of efforts to give back to the society, a philanthropist, Dr. Sunday Akinbiola has donated food items worth millions of naira to over 300 widows in his local government area of Ondo state.

This year’s event marks the 12th edition of his philanthropist gesture to people of his constituents and beyond.

Beneficiaries of the gesture were drawn from the 10 wards in Irele Local Government and some parts of Okitipupa.

Dr Akinbiola Sunday, who is the initiator of the project explained that the motive behind the gesture was to give back to the society by putting smiles on the faces of the less privileged, in his individual capacity and in the spirit of the New Year. This ,he has been doing now for over 12 years as this mark the 12th edition of the program.
He had earlier reached out to over 50 youths with a cash gift ranging from N5,000 to N10,000 each for them to enjoy the Christmas

Recipients of the food items thanked the philanthropist for his generosity; prayed to God to bless him and his family in return.

The distribution, which took place Tuesday in his house in irele witnessed the widows rejoicing over the magnanimity of the philanthropist, whom they said gave them hope of celebrating the birth of Christ like other families.

One of the recipients, name witheld expressed happiness for the food items she received, saying she never expected such a gift. “I am very happy. I thank God for using our son to bless us,” she said.


Also expressing his appreciation, an aged widow prayed with tears that she wouldn’t have had anything to give her children in this festive period to eat if not for this divine intervention by this Special oluomo of Ikale Land,Dr Sunday Akinbiola who God has been using to feed us every year

The Founder of the Hero Foundation for widows said: “The distribution of these bags of rice is borne out of the need to express love to our people, particularly widows and the disabled persons in seasons like this. It is our modest contribution to our immediate environment and a way of giving back to society. After all, we rise by lifting others. Recently too, we’ve been into a few of similar gestures for other strata of the society. We intend to do more in due course. To foster love, I also organised a football competition for girls of Irele community in Irele Local Government which is ongoing.


He also use the opportunity to talk to the women on need to vote for quality representation in the coming elections especially the Southern Senatorial election because we have suffered neglect in the past and beg them to support the only candidate that can change the narratives which is Dr. Jimoh Ibrahim CFR which he said he can vouch for his capacity to turn the situation around for good.
This gestures he said he had never in his life talked about politics since 12 years of doing this empowerment programme but this is necessary at this time to write the wrong right, He submitted.
