Prince Adedeji Adesida Adekayero1 was born on 8th August 1977 into the royal family of Oba Afunbiowo Adesida I. His father, the late Prince Williams Omolade Adedeji Adesida, popularly known as Australia, was a celebrated socialite and a close friend of the late music icon Wale Glorious.

From an early age, Prince Adedeji benefited greatly from his father’s influence and reputation. During his elementary school years at Homaj Nursery and Primary School in Akure, he was affectionately known as “Omo Baba Olowo” (Son of a Rich Man). This nickname followed him through his secondary school education at Parker International High School in Akure and later at Ikenne Community High School in Ikenne Remo, Ogun State.

Following in his father’s entrepreneurial footsteps, Prince Adedeji entered the business world upon reaching adulthood. He initially ventured into the sawmill industry, specializing in timber processing and supply both locally and internationally. Over time, he diversified into building technology, beginning as a realtor and eventually expanding into property management and development.

In 2008, Prince Adedeji was honoured with the title of Obadua of Akure Kingdom, a position he inherited from his late grandfather, Prince Michael Adedeji Adesida, a distinguished industrialist and philanthropist. In 2012, he was further honoured by being appointed as the Life Grand Patron of the National Automobile Technician Association (NATA) following his grandfather’s passing.

In May 2023, Prince Adedeji was selected by His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Dr) Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade (CFR), the Deji and paramount ruler of Akure Kingdom, to serve as the Olusopo of Usopo Alagbaka, Akure. This appointment is a testament to his leadership and dedication to his community.

On Saturday, 10th August, Prince Adedeji Adesida Adekayero1 will celebrate his first year on the throne. He calls upon the Usopo community and its environs to join in the celebrations and commemorate this significant milestone together.
