Yesterday, the Honourable Minister of Youth Development Comrade Ayodele Olawande reaffirmed the commitment of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration to strengthening collaboration between government institutions and civil society through the Open Government Partnership (OGP) platform during a high-level engagement with civil society actors and representatives of the OGP Secretariat in his office.

He underscored the pivotal role of non-state actors in fostering transparency, accountability, and inclusive citizen participation in governance.

The OGP platform continues to serve as a vital tool for sustained engagement between Ministries and non-state actors, and he commend the OGP Secretariat alongside all stakeholders—both present and absent—whose unwavering dedication has propelled this crucial agenda forward.

He also acknowledged the invaluable contributions of elder statesmen and civil society leaders, whose mentorship and guidance remain foundational to the Ministry’s continued growth and impact.
