
Udiroko festival marked the beginning of new year in Ado traditional calendar.
Udiroko is the annual traditional festival that brings indigene of Ado Ekiti to a round table to celebrate the King and deliberate on the progress of the town.
At Udiroko, they celebrate their history and how there forefathers founded the town. “At Udiroko festival, as they celebrate, they pray for Ado indigenes, residents, the town, Ekiti State and Nigeria. They do not worship anything during the festival. There is no sacrifice or any ritual.
This year festival witnessed a Monumental crowd and joyous mood in the faces of the people of Ado communities. People from all walks of life within and outside the state especially indigenes of Ado Ekiti were in attendance to celebrate this year edition.

May I on behalf of myself and family felicitate with HRM, Kabiyesi, OBA, Dr, Rufus Adeyemo, ADEJUGBE ALADESANMI 111, the Ewi of Ado Ekiti on 2023 UDIROKO annual festival.
I also rejoice with our mother, Olori, Eyesorun Abosede ADEJUGBE ALADESANMI for witnessing this year UDIROKO festival.
My greetings message will be incomplete if I fail to mention all the palace chief’s, all the celebrants, Prince & Princess from the two ruling houses in Ado Ewi, ATEWOGBOYE & AROLOYE.

This philanthropist also described the reign of the Ewi of Ado-Ekiti, Oba (Dr) Rufus Adejugbe, as that which witnessed unprecedented development of the state capital, particularly, the promotion of the annual Udiroko festival for which the state is now getting more notable on the world’s tourism map.
He also used the medium to greet the people’s governor, H-E, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji and wife of the governor, H-E, Dr. (Mrs) Olayemi Oyebanji PhD.
He also described the commitment of the state governor, HE, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji to cultural development and exploitation of the tourism potentials of the state as legendary.
Engr. Owolabi charged Ado Sons and daughters to see the celebration beyond the accompanying merriments but look inward on how best to launch it into the global limelight where it would serve as adventures to tourists and adventurers as well as economic gains for the state.
He charged the people to celebrate with Modesty and non violence as well as observe rules guilding physical association.
He prayed for peace, progress and development in the Ado Ekiti Kingdom as well as long reign for the Monarch
