
BUNMI ADEMOSU BURIES MOTHER IN A GRANDSTYLE AS GOV. AKEREDOLU, OTHERS GRACE OCCASSION.
Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, Last week led eminent personalities across all walks of life to bid farewell to Madam Flora Ajibike Ojelabi at a well attended funeral service held at St. John’s Anglican Church,Igbo-Oloyin in Ibadan , the Oyo State Capital.
Madam Ajibike Ojelabi, aged of 86 years is survived by children and grand children among whom is the Special Adviser to the Governor on Public and Intergovernmental Relations, Dr (Mrs) Bunmi Ademosu.
Dignitaries at the service who later gathered at the University of Ibadan Conference Centre where they were treated to a reception include the Deputy Governor of Ondo State, Hon Lucky Aiyedatiwa; former Deputy Governor of Osun State, Senator Iyiola Omisore; former Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Princess Adejoke Orelope Adefulire and the Hon Minister of State for Niger Delta, Senator Tayo Alasoadura.
The Deputy Speaker of Ondo State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Samuel Aderoboye; the legislators representing the two State Constituencies in Akure South Local Government Area: Hon Sunday Olajide and Hon Toluwani Borokini with the Chairman of the Council Area, Hon Gbenga Olaniyi were present at the event.
In his sermon, the Bishop of Ibadan South Anglican Communion, Rt Revd. Akintunde Adedayo Popoola described Madam Flora Ajibike Ojelabi as a virtuous and God fearing woman who lived a Christian life worthy of emulation.
The Bishop used the occasion to commend the Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Akeredolu who is the Chairman of the Southern Governors’ Forum on his commitment to the well-being and peaceful coexistence of the Nigerians.
The Chairman of the Ondo State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Engr. Ade Adetimehin led topnotch and chieftains of the party including Ambassador Olusola Iji; Chief Olusola Oke, SAN and Prince Ademola Adegoroye while the Secretary to the Ondo State Government, Princess Oladunni Odu led the current members of the Ondo State Executive Council to the event.
Other prominent personalities included the past Secretary to the Ondo State Government, Hon Ifedayo Abegunde who led members of the First Term Cabinet of Governor Akeredolu to the event acknowledged as a celebration of an impactful life.

In her Thanksgiving remarks, Hon. Bunmi thanked God for her Late Mother’s burial for a life well spent. The family of the Special Adviser to the Ondo State Governor on Public and Intergovernmental, Hon. Bunmi Ademosu buried her late mother, Mrs. Flora Ajike Ojelabi at the Diocese of Ibadan South Church if Nigeria, Igbo-Oloyin Ibadan.
Mrs.Flora Ajike Ojelabi passed on to glory on the 25th of September,2021. The departed who was described as a loving mother, grandmother and an illustrious daughter of Akure.
She was born in Ado Ekiti, the capital of Ekiti State to the family of the highly respected, Late Ojomu of the Ancient Town of Akure Kingdom, High Chief Robert Ayodele and Mama Mebinuola Fadoju.
She had her elementary education at the Mary Immaculate Primary School, Ado Ekiti before she proceeded to Modern Girl’s School in Ado Ekiti. Her pursuit for more education led her to the prestigious University of Lagos where she had her first degree in Education and Master’s degree Program in Early Child Education.
She was a teacher at Omolere Primary School before joining the Lagos State Ministry of Education, Inspectorate Division where she worked and retired from the Civil Service.
Her track record remains a reference point in the history of the school and this earned her numerous awards and recognitions.
Her intense passion for the children and their development led her to establish the Floryville Nursery and Primary School in Gbagada, Lagos State, an educational institution that has gone on to nurture and produce brilliant students.

She is highly known and respected for her amiable personalities which always endears many to her, aside her passionate drive for the children, she is also a devout christian and a staunch member of the Archbishop Vining Memorial Cathedral,Ikeja, Lagos State. Till her death, she was an active member of the Christian Morning Star and Band of Grace Society.

She’s survived by her husband, children, grand children and family members.
