The palace of Osemawe of Ondo Kingdom, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Víctor Adesimbo Kiladejo was agog as dignitaries from all walks of life including the Ooni of Ife, Oba Ogunwusi Eniitan, were on ground to celebbrate his 70th bírthday and 17th Installation anniversary.
The occasion witnessed public lecture, cutting of anniversary cake and installation of eminent citizens íncluding Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo state as Chiefs of Ondo kingdom.
The Speaker, Ondo state House of Assembly, Rt. Honourable Oladiji Olamide Adesanmi (Landmark) was installed Baamoye of Ondo Kingdom.
This followed the Speaker’s unwavering commitment to the development of Ondo Kingdom.
Landmark as he is popularly called has influenced several development programmes to the entire Ondo Kingdom.
Several residents and indigens of Ondo have benefitted from his scholarshíp scheme which would take them through university education.
The Right Honourable Speaker has influenced employment opportunities for youths in Ondo Kingdom and beyond.
A philantropist of immense value, Right Honourable Oladíji has designed a grassroots programme meant to take care of the needy, includíng widows, orphans and other underprivileged people ín Ondo Kingdom.
He has also through his individual effort opened up several rural communities wíth a view to bringing development to people living in rural areas of Ondo kingdom.
At a lecture earlier at Oba Adesanoye cívic center, the Governor of Oyo state, Engineer Seyi Makinde spoke elaborately on the role of traditional ínstitutions ín influencing socio ecónomic development in a democratic setting.
Before cutting the birthday cake, Oba Kiladejo led other dignitaries to unveíl a compedium of books to mark his 70th birthday and 17th anniversary of his installation as the Osemawe and paramount ruler of Ondo kingdom.
Oba Victor Adesímbo Kiladejo Jilo lll ascended the throne of his anncestors in the year 2006.
