High Chief Odunwo marks 92nd Birthday In Grand Style With the opening of His new private broadcasting Radio station, Suncity FM 101.9.
The Odunwo of Ondo Kingdom , High Chief Engr. (Sir).Dr Olabanji A. Akingbule ….., recently marked his 92nd birthday in Ondo city ,Ondo State with the opening of his new private radio station to serve humanity.
The well-attended events marking the triumphant entry into another year of this great Philanthropist and an Icon of repute’s birthday ceremonies, included the inauguration and special opening of the private radio broadcasting station located at Bana Estate, Bana city along Ife road in Ondo city which was followed by a befitting birthday party with a lavish reception.
This ever looking young legend and a philanthropist, articulate but unobtrusive human resources manager , and a developer whose interest is to ensure good living and betterment of the people especially the downtrodden.
The birthday celebration and official commissioning commenced with good will messages from notable personalities, admonishing the people to have the fear of God and emulate the good virtues of this hardworking legend.
According to the Governor who was represented by His honourable commissioner for Information, Mr Yemi Owolabi who described Baba as a man of integrity, man of honour and God–fearing man, who is dedicated to the service of humanity. Other important dignitaries also showered encomium and goodwill on the philanthropic exploits of Baba including the Osemawe of Ondo and some traditional rulers in Ondo kingdom. They described Baba as great man that empowers the people. As a fact, the representative of Osemawe mentioned that High chief Odunwo housing services covers 30% of the accommodation of the people of Ondo town.
They prayed that God would grant him long life which would be more dedicated to the service of humanity to the glory of God.
The celebrant thanked God for sparing his life and for the service God has used him to impact into the growth of his communities and the people in general.
It was funfair at the reception, which also held within the new broadcasting office complex . The commissioning of the Suncity station was carried out by the representative of the Governor . The cutting of the 92 anniversary birthday cake was done with a hilarious song of birthday wishes.
Guests were in merriment mood as they took their turn to dance, drink and eat in celebrating with the host.
Dignitaries present at the birthday ceremony included the who is who in ONDO state especially traditional rulers ,High chiefs , and his friends . Former senators and owners of broadcasting station within and outside the state. . Royal fathers, Dr Akinbiola Sunday, publisher of the Hero Magazine Intl and the organizer of the yearly Ondo state leadership awards, friends and relatives were all in attendance to felicitate with the celebrant . The managing Director and the General manager of the broadcasting station , Mr Akinola Oluranti Akingbule and Prince Olasunkamni Adebayo respectively were seen running around to ensure Sucess of the birthday and commissioning ceremony.
