While the 2027 Senatorial Election is still more than a year to come, a serious contender for the Ondo North Senatorial seat, HONOURABLE AFOLABI MOMOH ABDULATEEF -MOGAJI on Thursday declared his intention to be the next Senator at his Ekan Ward,Ikare Akoko and was Broadcast Live transmitted via Social Media platforms.
The Senatorial Aspirantion of Hon.Mogaji will not only serve as a morale booster renewing the peoples hope but also catalyse the realization of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027.
Hon.Mogaji who is a stalwart and heavy financier of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Akoko and entire Ondo North Senatorial District in his short but inspiring address told the electrifying crowd of his political supporters and admirers that he will not be evasive if elected as a Senator.
Saying,”I will not be evasive,but accessible because good governance and qualitative representation is not a privilege but your inalienable rights to enjoy full dividends of democracy”.
Mogaji who was the Director General,DG In Charge of Ondo North Senatorial District for Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa 2024 Gubernatorial Campaign expressed his determination to bring back hope to the people.
He noted that,”your joy fuels my purpose, your pain burns in my heart, and your future,your freedom is the mission I lived for.”
Mogaji re-affirmed that “humanity must comes first,when a leader turns deaf ear to the cries of the people,it’s not just about their rights but it’s their duty to reclaim their future and that is what the people are starting today”
Many other speakers who are equally political leaders on their own rights including the representative of the traditional rulers all voiced out their frustration about the inability to access the current Senator whom they entrusted with their mandates.
Some of the speakers also lamented that they can not point to any tangible project and meaningful development by the senator that can commensurate with the mandate accusing him of running the senatorial districts as a personal business empire.
The people of Akoko North now looked forward to Mogaji’s aspiration which has invariably renewed the hope of the masses as a final solution to the backwardness and inertia being currently experienced in the LG.
The state wide popularity enjoyed by Mogaji’s political brand is as a result of his background, past and present philanthropist gestures and generosity to all and sundry in the LG without discrimination.
The event which attracted the who’s who in Ikare Akoko community and beyond as well as the heavy weight politicians who all trooped out to the venue to give their overwhelming support and endorsement to Mogaji’s aspiration.
The event can well be described as a Mogaji opening a new vista and a new chapter that is set to ignite a strategic political realignment and liberation struggle in Akoko politics .
He used the occasion to harvest over 100members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP that decamped to the All Progressives Congress, APC and their leaders claimed they pitched their tent with APC because of Mogaji aspiration.
