SECURITY WISKID AND HIS FAMILY LIFE UNDER ATTACK FOR INVESTIGATING A CASE OF FRAUD INVOLVING HUGE AMOUNT OF MONEY
The chief superintendent of police Oyetunji Kayode who is the head of general investigation unit, state criminal investigation department, (SCID) Ondo state command has cried out that his life and that of his family are under attack for investigating a case of fraud involving a huge amount of money running to millions.
Oyetunji, made this known in a statement he made available to news men, on the 14th February 2023.
The officer stated that, on the 3rd of June 2022, he was assigned to investigate the case and since that day, pressure has been mounted on him to circumvent the law on the case due to the status of the defendant in the case and since then, he has stood his ground and investigated the case properly till the case was finally charged to court.
‘’in the course of this, the suspect has been threatening me with phone calls and all sort of proxy threats. On a particular occasion, while I closed from work one evening, I was trailed to my house by unknown men driving behind me and as I was about coming out of the car, the unknown gun men open fire on me, but fortunately, I escaped by whisky’’
‘’On September 2nd 2022, I came back from work and I met my house burnt down and the perpetrators of this dastard act are still yet unknown’’
Oyetunji stated that, this continuous persecution and general attempt to get rid of him have brought psychological and emotional trauma to him and his family members and as a result of that, he has relocated his families to his hometown since they have no house to stay again.
Also, just on the 13th of February 2023, CSP oyetunji Kehinde led a team of patrol men to Labour party campaign ground at Democracy park Akure, he was attacked by unknown hoodlums suspected to be a political thug of one Chief Adaye Omofe, as a result of the attack, he sustained bruises and he was hit on his chest, other officers sustained degree of injury, it took the help of detached Police Mobile force on reinforcement to rescue them. Meanwhile, they were rushed to police clinic Akure for treatment.
In the light of this, he humbly appeal to the authorities in the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) and the federal government to Intervain to prevent him from being killed by miscreant who are after his life.
